The unit combines aspects of the Physical Education, Science, and Social Studies currricula. Students in grades K-6 challenge their physical, emotional, and intellectual abilities in developmentally appropriate classes. Through various games and activities students engage in experiential learning using indoor and outdoor "classrooms". Each class builds on the previous lesson. Students use a map and compass to explore the physical and natural world utilizing Gardner's "Naturalistic Intelligence" of the Multiple Intelligences Theory.
