This session will discuss the development of Kinesiology, particularly the research components. The focus will be on how both the Research Consortium and the American Kinesiology Association work together to promote scholarship in Kinesiology. A brief review of the development of research in the field will be provided and emerging areas of research in Kinesiology will be identified. This session is intended for basic and applied researchers in health and physical activity.
