At the 2009 AAHPERD conference, the presenting team presented a conceptual community approach to prevent overweight and obesity by incorporating a positive and integrative Blue Ocean Strategy (Part I). This session (Part II) will report the results of that intervention after one year including unique planning strategies, non-traditional funding, multi-targeted empowerment programming, creation of common causes across groups, descriptions and updates of the multi-strata interventions that emerged from the positive health focus groups.
