Qualitative inquiry has emerged as a prominent research strategy in physical education. Three researchers conducted a ten-year analysis (1999-2008) of qualitative studies in The Journal of Teaching in Physical Education (JTPE). The findings from the study will be presented and discussed. The session will conclude with a discussion of the future of qualitative research in sport pedagogy.
