A one-size fits all model of physical education is often implemented with little consideration for how students respond. An instructional framework called Response to Intervention (RtI) has been used in academic subjects for years to tailor instruction to the varied needs of students. This session will provide researchers, administrators, and practitioners with an overview of the model and how it can be effectively implemented in physical education to promote physical activity and prevent obesity.
