Dance is a successful form of conflict amelioration in Ghana, West Africa, and Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies. In this workshop, participants are introduced to historical background on this timely topic, followed by learning a traditional Fisherman’s Dance of the Ga People of the Greater Accra Region of Ghana, West Africa called KPOLONGO. Drumming accompaniment makes dancing vivid. Additional dances will be learned.
