605 Female Coaches/ADs in Southern States: Comparison to National Numbers

The number of female NCAA coaches and athletic directors has drastically declined since the enactment of Title IX. How has this decline affected the number in southern states, which tend to be more male dominated and conservative? This study examined the number of these individuals in the 13 southern states which make up AAHPERD's southern district, and compared the district's and each state's numbers to the total national numbers.
