Higher education learning uses textbooks, laboratory experiences, and lectures to acquire, retain, and disseminate information. College students expect instructors to assess knowledge through written and oral examinations and scientific/lab reports. However, learning should not be limited to these traditional methods. Educators in all disciplines must incorporate teaching strategies to accommodate varied learning styles, while also being fun, interactive, and useful. This session examines the use of games and puzzles to improve student learning and retention.
