Compasses are inexpensive navigational tools that can be used in a variety of challenging orienteering games that appeal to children of all ages. This session will include introductory activities and games for teaching orienteering skills. Learn to identify a variety of map symbols; create and map a “terrain” in your own gym; and how to orient a map, set a series of controls, and use pacing.
