Visualization, gentle flowing movements, and deep breathing make Tai Chi ideal for adapted PE, therapeutic recreation, and special needs students. The warm flow of energy helps us relax, focus, and become aware of our bodies and feelings. Autistic students love to imitate the animals. Children with ADHD calm down and focus. Tai Chi can be done standing, sitting, or lying down. Students always ask to do more. Great for ages five to adult.
