Weight Lifting and Performance Curriculum for High School Physical Education
Participants will learn about a new weight lifting curriculum, designed by the National Strength & Conditioning Association that provides assessments to measure improvement, teaches proper lifting technique and explains fitness training principles. Teachers will learn how to use Performance testing for pre and post assessments so that students may set goals and chart their progress. I will also show how to use rubrics for lifting technique along with written tests that cover training principles.
