Electronic Texts for Health Literacy in Early Childhood Education
Picture books are both an art form and an artifact of culture. Designing picture books as electronic texts for health literacy require an awareness of multi-sensory and multi-modal elements of language. Steps for designing child-centered electronic texts will be outlined. Implications for organizing digital content as Habits of Health and Habits of Mind will be discussed via constructivist theory and language development.
