Using Social Networking and Microblogging to Communicate With Constituents
As new communication technologies such as Facebook, Twitter, and blogs become more commonplace among stakeholders, it becomes incumbent upon athletic departments to utilize these technologies to their benefit. This session attempts to demonstrate the current trends and issues relating to the usage of social networking and microblogging as they relate to athletic departments. Furthermore, we will provide advice on how to effectively extend relational marketing and public relations through these mediums.
