Cultural Perspectives of Brazilian Physical Activity & Sports
This workshop will disseminate best activities and sports for K-12 Physical Education programs summarized from three study abroad and exchange programs held in Brazil from 2005 until 2008. The workshop will be active and interactive focusing on June Dance Festivals, Futvolei, Peteca, Pedagogical Carnival, Zouk and a video-bibliography of Capoeira. Such content-specific activities depict multicultural sensitive projects that rescue the identity, memory and history of Physical Education within the school curriculum in Latin America.
