Gender Specific Programs to Address Negative Influence of Body Image
Urban females face serious growth and development issues, among the most challenging is that of "body image". Two new programs, "Sister Circle" and "IMAGE” are science based programs designed to address the silent unspoken problems affecting African American females that contribute to the lack of self-confidence and dysfunctional behavior. These peer mentor based programs address, Self-Reliance, Locus of Control, and Sense of Inadequacy. Participants will receive blue prints to initiate these programs in their community.
