It's a Balancing Act!
Balance training improves balance, postural stability, and gait while reducing the risk and fear of falls. By challenging the sensory-motor systems, balance exercises can help maintain standing and postural stability under a variety of conditions. Because of the close relationship between core stability and good balance and posture, it makes sense to also include core training with older adults. Learn key components of training ideas for balance and core training for older adults.
