| Teaching Self Defense in Secondary Physical Education |
| The focus of this presentation will be a practical approach to teaching a self-defense unit. Twenty lessons will be presented that are appropriate for a physical education setting with the overreaching goal of awareness and avoidance. Teachers will learn how to design a class where students will acquire the tools to critically think about their home and personal safety and to make sound decisions that will minimize the opportunity of being victimized. |
