Going to “FAR”, Improving Fitness Through Interactive Technology
The Fitness Arcade Room (FAR) room utilizes computer interactive activities that enable students to improve their fitness levels. The FAR room utilizes stationary bikes connected to video displays, Wii stations, and Polar’s TriFit 700 to assess students’ fitness development. This session presents why a FAR room attracts students to attend physical education classes. Attendees will learn the importance of using interactive technology, data collection on improving student performance and where to submit grants for funding.
