Lifelong recreational sports can have a far-reaching affect on motivating students to be active for life. Activities such as golf, tennis, orienteering, recreational jogging, paddling, biking and inline skating have been effective in enhancing student’s physical activity, attitudes, and behaviors. NASPE STARS schools will show an overview of lifelong recreational sports being offered sequentially, from elementary through high school, and how to develop and deliver these activities for quality physical education.
