This exciting wake-up session is a structured beginning-level improvisational dance class. Participants are led through creative movement problem-solving. Games/exercises stimulate the mind and body, leaving everyone relaxed, alert. The activities are wonderful warm-ups before brainstorming sessions, for classroom teachers to transition between topics, and stimulate creative problem-solving. Work independently, in small groups, and sometimes altogether. In one exercise, participants “freeze” in a tableau using only their awareness of each other, without verbal or visual cues.
