Experiences in New York City public school’s physical education programs include large classes with little activity time, especially for girls. The first part of the session will incorporate ideas of how equipment can be made with little financial resources, time, and effort. After manufacturing this equipment, sample learning objectives will be matched with activity ideas to increase activity and learning time. Some ideas include racket sports, cooperative activities, team sports, yoga, dance, etc.
