Confusing information, misinformation and fraud are prevalent in the wellness world. In particular, the areas of nutrition, fitness, and health are most susceptible. We will focus on providing the knowledge necessary to help students become educated consumers. An overview, followed by examples and tips for identifying and dealing with confusing information, misinformation, and fraudulent information will be provided. Involving students in identifying poor sources and locating valid and reliable sources of information is crucial.
