CEU OPPORTUNITY: Much concern has been voiced about adequate preparation of pre-service teachers and professionals who plan to work in schools and recreation centers in urban environments. This symposium will center on issues regarding engagement of urban youth in physical education and activity. The speakers at this symposium represent issues and perspectives of NASPE’s six academies. A unique component of this symposium is the inclusion of practitioners who have successfully engaged urban children and youth.
