Physical Activity and Disability: Two Complimentary Perspectives
This session will examine physical activity for individuals with disabilities from two perspectives. The first is from the perspective of identifying and training highly qualified adapted physical educators. IDEIA anticipates children with disabilities receive instruction by highly qualified personnel. Yet no formal guidelines exist that define APE highly qualified personnel. The second part of the session will focus on the current status, and future direction of physical activity and disability.
