Transitioning From Faculty to Administrator: A Dialogue From the Trenches |
A panel of female administrators will talk about their experiences making the transition from faculty to administrator. The panel discussants include current and former department chairs, program directors, and an associate dean. This session will focus on the changes in duties, roles, socialization process and basic job requirements. The presentations and dialogue will provide a framework for the do’s and don’ts of administration and encourage women and minorities to seek leadership roles in administration. |
