Teaching and Learning About Title IX
This presentation will focus on a DVD designed to facilitate an understanding of Title IX. Using videotaped interviews with over 30 experts, the DVD contains 14 chapters covering topics such as the requirements of Title IX, its legislative history, the impact of sport on the lives of women, experiences of pre-Title IX female athletes, and intended and unintended consequences of Title IX. Excerpts from the DVD will be shown.
