Sportsmetrics: Preventing Serious Knee Ligament Injury in Female Athletes
This session will provide a review of research and training conducted by the Cincinnati Sportsmedicine Research and Education Foundation on Sportsmetrics training and its impact on strength and landing mechanics. It will discuss knee injury rates and risks for female athletes in various sports as well as anatomic, hormonal and biomechanical factors. Neuromuscular training will be introduced including modes and considerations for training female athletes in different sports and of varying ability levels.
