Swimming for ALL: Inclusive Pedagogy to Increase Swimming Skill Acquisition
This participation session will introduce aquatic instructors, teachers, and coaches to the progressions of the basic swimming skills and appropriate modification that can be used for individuals with disabilities. The session will provide attendees with swimming activities and drills that facilitate skill acquisition and modifications for individuals with mobility and cognitive disabilities. Participants will learn instructional strategies and experience water activities that will help increase aquatic participants’ content knowledge regarding swimming.
