Health Education Beyond the Classroom |
This session will share ideas implemented with middle school, high school, and college students to extend health education beyond the classroom. Participants will hear success stories of hosting school health fairs, volunteering at a regional wellness expo, anti-tobacco billboard contests, creating an after school Healthy Activity Club, and coordinating a school staff wellness program. The important partnerships with a local health department, convention and visitor’s bureau, university, and Boys and Girls Club will be included. |
