Creating Caring and Equitable Communities for Children of All Abilities |
This practitioner-based presentation will introduce physical education teachers to the value of using and modifying Adventure Based Learning (ABL) content to create equitable opportunities for ALL children in physical education. The session will provide teachers with 1) the theory of ABL; 2) several ABL activities that promote community building; and 3) modifications that are specifically designed to help students with cognitive and physical disabilities experience equitable opportunity in ABL. |
