| Ragtime to Hip-Hop: JAZZ DANCE and American Music Inventions |
| This session examines 20th century American music trends and traditions to create a syllabus for teaching Jazz Dance technique. Some of the major categories within this framework include Ragtime, Swing, Blues, Broadway, Bebop, Fusion and Hip-Hop. The session will acknowledge this rich history and explore two specific genres through structured warm-up exercises and movement sequences. |
