Is MySpace, Safe Space? Internet Safety and Sexuality
Are your students using MySpace, Facebook and Xanga? Do you know about the online habits of teens? This workshop will help even the most novice educator learn the basics about the online world that teens inhabit, including instant messaging, texting and social networking Web sites. Participants will leave with a broader appreciation for the role of technology in teens’ lives today and concrete strategies for ways to teach young people “safe surfing.”
