Advocacy 102: Incorporating Advocacy Skills into Professional Preparation Programs
This session describes the importance of including health advocacy training in professional preparation programs. The program will provide examples of how advocacy activities can be incorporated into a variety of health education core courses. Participants will examine case studies to determine advocacy opportunities. A discussion of advocacy strategies (letter writing, representative visits, etc.) and delivery methods including using technology will be included.
