Experiential/Motivational Intervention - Changing Beliefs and Behaviors in Stress Management
Attendees will be introduced to the COMPLEX model, an experiential/motivational learning model based on expectancy valence, self-efficacy, and attribution theories. The session focus will be a demonstration of the model, applied as a one-time intervention to change beliefs regarding the use of proactive coping behaviors in stress management. Attendees will also be able to identify applications for the COMPLEX model in various health education settings wherein the goal is to change health beliefs and/or behaviors.
