Best Practices of States' Advocacy Efforts in Promoting Policy Change
Advocacy formalizes the process for promoting active and healthy lifestyles. In this session, the best practices of states' advocacy efforts to promote policy change at the state level are discussed by two district advocacy chairs. Topics include building partnerships, mobilizing grassroots support, creating an avalanche of influential movers and shakers, and overcoming hurdles among others. Participants will be given the opportunity to dialogue with presenters and discuss past and current advocacy initatives in their states.
