The Outdoor Education Experience: Going beyond Physical Education
The "Outdoor Education Experience" is a highly successful senior level Physical Education elective offered at Boiling Springs High School, located in Boiling Springs, Pennsylvania. This session will include a summary of how the course began, funding issues, and the role of community involvement, as well as difficulties encountered and successes achieved during the evolution of this class. A mentoring program that has begun between the 12th grade Outdoor Education students and two second grade classes will be highlighted.
