Resolutions, Position Statements and Advocacy: A Primer for Students
An important responsibility of health educators is to advocate for health. Members of AAHE’s Position Statement Committee and AAHE’s Advocacy Committee will demonstrate how position statements and resolutions can be used in advocacy efforts. This information would be especially beneficial for students, providing a foundation for future advocacy efforts. AAHE position statements and resolutions and the rationale for their development will be highlighted. Future directions regarding development of new position statements will be explored.
