| AAHPERD Opening General Session: Childhood Obesity: There Has to be a Better Weigh |
| The American Heart Association (AHA) and AAHPERD are continuing their long history of productive partnership by responding to the challenge of our nation's childhood obesity epidemic. Wheeler will discuss the current efforts at state and local levels to promote physical education in schools as well as efforts to ensure better nutrition for students in schools. Wheeler was one of the first AHA staff to recognize the potential of Jump Rope For Heart and was instrumental in driving its success. |
