In honor of the 2008 Olympics the three papers in this session explore different historical aspects of the modern and ancient Games. Don Kyle, "Myths and History: Women and the Ancient Olympic Games"; Matthew Llewellyn: "Los Angeles and the Legacies of the 1932 and 1984 Olympic Games"; and Thomas Hunt, "The Evolution of Olympic Doping Policy." A discussion will follow the three 20 minute papers. |
