| Sex Education Issues: Addressing Sexual Orientation and Teacher Preparation |
| This workshop covers two critical issues in sex education: 1) sexual orientation and 2) teacher preparation.
Schools struggle with how to support gay, lesbian and bisexual students and students with gay or lesbian parents. Teachers will be provided with tips and techniques for reducing homophobia at all grade levels.
Teachers desire professional preparation opportunities, however, funding for conference/workshop attendance is often scarce. This interactive workshop will highlight a new online professional development workshop for health teachers that covers the Sexuality ABCs and demonstrates how professionals can participate in high-quality workshops without leaving the comfort of their own home or office. |
