One of the most vigorously discussed topics at recent AAHPERD and NASSM conferences in the field of sport management has centered on the topic of internships. While there appears to be consensus in the industry that the internship is among the most valuable experiences in the development of quality sport managers, there is considerably less agreement regarding the structure and function of organizing, implementing and assessing the quality of the internship experience. These topics will be briefly addressed from industry, faculty, and student perspectives, with a panel format for questions and discussion. |
