The Use of Physical Education to Enhance Responsibility and Learning
Utilizing Marvin Marshall’s Hierarchy of Social Development a framework will be presented for use with elementary, middle, and high school physical education programs. The intent is to develop inspiration for self-discipline within each student as they progress through the different levels of social development. A hands-on approach will be taken as concepts are put into level appropriate activities and then further developed by the attendees in the session. Each participant will be encouraged to self-exam how their present style of empowering students can be enhanced.
