This presentation and round-table discussion will provide participants with an opportunity to discuss topics related to pursuing graduate study. Panelists range from beginning doctoral students to major professors and they will offer insight into issues confronting individuals planning to pursue a graduate degree. Although geared towards physical education teacher education and sport pedagogy, the information provided will be relevant to those interested in other sub-disciplines as well. Topics for discussion include: Current programs, job prospects, visiting schools, research focus of the faculty, balancing research and teaching demands, choosing a program, financial support, life as a graduate student, and others.
