Lost in Translation – Speaking “School” in a Community Health Organization |
This will be a panel discussion that will provide four different perspectives on the Program Alignment Project. Views will include School Health Education, Community Health Education, National Associations and Teacher/Trainer perspectives. This project was a collaborative effort that encouraged Health Education Centers (HEC) to align their education programs with the national health education standards utilizing a web-based curriculum mapping tool. This project was funded by CSU and partnered with NAHEC and AAHE to help HECs to improve the delivery of quality health education programming to all their constituents. Critical analysis of the benefits and challenges will be presented. |
