Organizing Alcohol/Drug Education Initiatives in Academic Institutions
This interactive workshop will be tailored to meet the needs of college/university/high school personnel with respect to their campus location, size, demographics, and culture. Program focus includes: 1) the “How-to’s” of developing an alcohol/drug abuse initiative, 2) a review of effective educational strategies and activities, and 3) the use of the integrated marketing approach to promote their program. Participants will have the opportunity to develop campus action plans, and will receive a resource packet containing statistical information, programming ideas, educational resources, funding opportunities, best practice recommendations, and marketing plans that can be integrated into their campus alcohol/drug education initiatives.
