Sharing Strategies for Teaching Children From Diverse Backgrounds |
The purpose of this session is to allow physical activity professionals the opportunity to discuss issues related to the students they teach and coach. As professionals, we often do not have the opportunity to sit and discuss effective strategies for establishing rapport or addressing issues we have with our students. This roundtable discussion will allow professionals the opportunity to share strategies for working with various populations such as persons of color, individuals with disabilities, GLBTA, and students from the inner city. Attendees will leave this session with suggestions from other attendees related to various populations. |
