Exercising with Seniors Using Traditional and Nontraditional Movements
There has been a trend in recent years to combine traditional and nontraditional movement patterns. This lecture/activity session will teach the participant working with the senior population, the active and not so active senior, how to incorporate traditional exercise programs and infuse them with nontraditional exercise programs which may include but are not limited to yoga, Pilates, tai chi, breathing, and relaxation movement patterns. This session is also relevant for professionals and nonprofessionals working with the baby boomer generation because baby boomers want a different and exciting kind of physical activity.
