Can Your Work Stress and Personality Kill You?
Is your work putting you at risk for premature death because of stress? Learn about stress, life expectancy, personality, health, and legal issues through this interactive and humorous program. The Virginia Tech University shootings again made it clear, in today’s schools; shootings, gangs, drugs, and the teaching/coaching conflict are part of the stressful environment. This very current session presents medial research that shows a two-fold decrease of life expectancy for people in certain job situations. Legal issues include damages and worker’s compensation because of stress. Session participants will learn practical applications of research on resilient teachers and will practice relief techniques.
