The Universal Play Frame: Disc Golf and More
This session will showcase exciting developments in the ongoing development of the Universal Play Frame (UPF), an assistive device under development at Cal Poly designed to facilitate play opportunities for people with partial quadriplegia. The UPF is the product of collaborations between faculty and students in Kinesiology, Mechanical Engineering, and local community based non-profit groups advocating for people with disabilities. The basic UPF frame provides a base to support a variety of attachments designed to facilitate play in a variety of activities. We currently have attachments for T-ball, golf, soccer, and now disc golf.
