Are You Hitting the Mark in Student Assessment? |
This session will focus on elementary children, the learning process, and assessment in the gym. It will "share strategies that form a complete 'jigsaw' so that, when used together, a quality learning and teaching environment is created in which children and teachers together aim for higher achievement" (Shirley Clarke). Teachers will be provided with research, ready made materials, and hands-on activities that utilize numerous techniques and strategies of formative assessment. A portfolio will be prepared by teachers so they can implement the strategies and techniques with their own students. |
